Join us for Brevard's most unique dining experience!
This *true* dining in the dark experience features Brevard law enforcement officers, wearing night vision goggles, serving guests in pitch black darkness. This event allows us to step into the shoes of a blind person for one night--no blindfolds, no peaking!
This exciting evening kicks off with a lighted reception and silent auction at 5:30 pm. Guests are then seated and served by Brevard law enforcement officers wearing night vision goggles. Live music will be played --in the dark-- while guests enjoy a meal prepared by the fabulous chefs at the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront.
Part of this exciting dining experience is using taste and aroma, rather than sight, to guess your meal. To enjoy the fun, the menu will not be revealed until the lights come up at the end of the night. (Dietary restrictions and allergies are considered.)
This event benefits the Center for the Visually Impaired, a nonprofit that offers free life skills services to the blind and visually impaired in Brevard County. CVI offers independent living skills training, technology training, job-readiness and vocational rehabilition training, as well as programs for children and teens that focus on vocational skills to help them prepare to be productive members of our community.
